BELL SPIKE is an advanced rocket propulsion design project focused on transforming a conventional bell nozzle system into an aerospike nozzle system to improve rocket engine efficiency across varying altitudes. Traditional bell nozzles are optimized for a specific atmospheric pressure, which limits their performance when operating from sea level to high-altitude or near-vacuum conditions. This project addresses that limitation through a redesign based on aerospike technology..
Our mission
The mission of BELL SPIKE is to redesign and transform a conventional bell nozzle system into an efficient aerospike nozzle by applying sound engineering principles, aerodynamic analysis, and innovative design approaches. The project aims to improve rocket propulsion performance across a wide range of operating altitudes while providing practical learning experience in advanced rocket nozzle technology and modern propulsion systems.
