Welcome to BELL SPIKE, an innovative aerospace engineering project dedicated to the redesign and advancement of rocket nozzle technology. This project focuses on transforming the conventional bell nozzle system into a high-performance aerospike nozzle, aiming to overcome the efficiency limitations of traditional rocket engines operating across different atmospheric conditions. Conventional bell nozzles are optimized for a single pressure environment, which results in performance losses during ascent from sea level to high altitude and near-vacuum conditions. BELL SPIKE addresses this challenge by introducing an aerospike-based design that allows exhaust gases to expand naturally against the surrounding atmospheric pressure, providing improved thrust efficiency throughout the entire flight profile. Through detailed design analysis, engineering modeling, and comparative study, this project explores the principles, structure, and performance advantages of aerospike nozzle systems. BELL SPIKE represents a step toward next-generation rocket propulsion, combining theoretical knowledge with practical engineering concepts to demonstrate how innovative nozzle designs can significantly enhance rocket performance, adaptability, and future space mission capabilities.
